About the Author

Adelbert Boffin is a Halfling Culinarian. Born and raised in Baldur’s Gate,his parents were the owners and operators of the Three Old Kegs Inn. This was a rather peculiar upbringing for a halfling, and it instilled a voracious curiosity in young Adelbert. While his brother Fosco was content spending his days learning his parents’ craft, Adelbert found the kitchen a stuffy place. The dining table was far more appealing. This wasn’t to say he disliked cooking, but food was a waste not to eat. And time spent eating was wasted if it wasn’t also spent talking with a new friend.

While it is never a bad thing for a tavern keep to be comfortable conversing with new faces, it does become a problem when that is all one does in the work day. As the two boys grew up, it became obvious Adelbert was not cut out for the line of work, and he took to the road in search of the only things that he cared about: interesting stories, people, and meals.
